TYP-III colour anodising covers the titanium surface with an extremely thin, coloured oxide layer. This refinement offers additional protection for the titanium and allows clear identification on the basis of the colour. The TYP-III process guarantees homogeneous colouring in a broad spectrum of colours.
The high process reliability and high quality always guarantee exact reproducibility for consistent results even across different production batches. Upon request, colour samples can be produced that the customer can use to check the colouring. On request, only partial surfaces can be color-anodised (partial anodising).

Broad spectrum of colours |
TYP-III colour anodising refines the titanium workpiece and allows its unambiguous identification on the basis of the colour without modifying the material characteristics of the titanium. Thanks to the broad spectrum of colours, it is widely used for implants and medical instruments as well as in aerospace technology.

The innovative and patented Recolor technique allows additional custom marking of colour-anodised titanium products. The Recolor process makes it possible to apply a broad spectrum of colours to the titanium product in a wide variety of shapes and designs without modifying the physical characteristics of the titanium or the product. The design possibilities are practically infinite, allowing addition of logos, measurements, depth markings, batch numbers, QR codes / bar codes, etc., to the titanium product.
As far as the development of innovations and production of high-quality technologies is concerned, the state of Baden-Württemberg has been a leading region on an international level for many years already. The administrative district of Tuttlingen has even earned itself the nickname of “world centre of medical technology”. We, too, consider ourselves obliged to uphold this tradition, which is precisely why our company headquarters, where we develop and manufacturer our high-quality products sustainably and dependably, are located here. In the field of process and quality assurance, we are certified in accordance with the EN ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards.
The “colouring” of the titanium surface is the product of anodising in special, state-of-the-art electroplating systems. Electrical voltage is applied to build up the oxide layer on the surface of the titanium in a controlled manner, with the voltage set at the rectifier determining the layer thickness and the resulting spectrum of colours. The dimensions of the part are not significantly modified.
