ART-tech® is an extremely resilient coloured ceramic developed by Viktor Hegedüs GmbH for the colour-coding of products. The high-quality, biocompatible material is used to produce a flush design in customised colours on components, thereby ensuring there is no confusion.
The thoroughly homogeneous material transitions smoothly to the neighbouring surface, thus permanently preventing dirt from accumulating. ART-tech® now defines the modern standard for permanent and resilient colour-coding.

Colour markings and colour-coding with ART-tech® guarantee high-quality, non-fading and resilient marking. The ART-tech® process has been satisfying the high demands of medical technology and industrial applications for many years now already. ART-tech® products impress with their extraordinarily high resilience in all common reprocessing processes and temperature ranges. Even aggressive media such as cleaning agents in hospitals and coolants from production plants do not limit the material’s inherent biocompatibility. None of the system’s colours poses a cytotoxic risk. Thanks to its wide colour palette, the innovative ceramic material can be used effectively for a broad spectrum of custom requirements.

The ART-tech® coloured ceramic is inserted with precision and by hand by Viktor Hegedüs GmbH’s specially trained staff. An exact quantity of coloured ceramic is inserted into the recess to ensure the result is a completely flat product surface. This also means the components are very easy to clean after use. The validated insertion process includes comprehensive verification and strength testing.
If you would prefer to furnish your products with permanent colour-coding in your own company or the logistics efforts associated with transporting your components to us are simply too high, we recommend our MEDI-Plug® & CASING products. Our ART-tech® colour ceramic allows you to colour-code your components yourself. All the colour versions are available as a block colour or complemented with numbers, symbols, logos or data matrix codes.
