A whole range of innovative products in the field of medical engineering and in industrial production facilities are now produced from titanium using 3D printing techniques. The 3D printing technology makes it possible to create complex and geometrically intricate products. Unfortunately, residues in the form of loose or semi-melted powder particles are always left behind in the inner geometries of such products, especially when 3D printing titanium.
These impurities are undesirable and must be removed in a process-safe manner if a high-quality product is to be achieved. The proprietary titanium acid etching refinement process allows Viktor Hegedüs GmbH to remove the impurities without leaving any residues. In addition, the technology makes it possible to optimise the surface structure (surface roughness) and brightness of the products to suit the individual customer requirements.

The titanium acid etching refinement process allows complete, process-safe removal of production residues, thereby making it possible to achieve a high-quality final result. The homogeneous and even removal of material across the whole workpiece is continually checked by the companies in-house laboratories and measuring facilities.
This allows tailoring of the product’s surface roughness to the individual customer requirements, whereby it is possible to specifically influence integration behaviour in the case of biocompatible implants, for example.
The proprietary titanium acid etching refinement process allows us to remove the impurities without leaving any residues. In addition, the technology makes it possible to optimise the surface structure (surface roughness) and brightness of the products to suit the individual customer requirements.

As far as the development of innovations and production of high-quality technologies is concerned, the state of Baden-Württemberg has been a leading region on an international level for many years already. The administrative district of Tuttlingen has even earned itself the nickname of “world centre of medical technology”. We, too, consider ourselves obliged to uphold this tradition, which is precisely why our company headquarters, where we develop and manufacturer our high-quality products sustainably and dependably, are located here. In the field of process and quality assurance, we are certified in accordance with the EN ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards.
